Last Thursday we left for New York with all the marketing classes at CFHS. We visited a lot of places that you would expect. We went to Times Square, Chinatown, Little Italy, 9/11 Memorial, Rockefeller Plaza, a broadway show

One Stop Prom Shop Is Over

Back in December we were presented with a project to put together a promotional assembly together at our school for One Stop Prom Shop. I was involved with the video side of things. We made two videos, one was an interview and the other was a harlem shake video.

For the actual event I made a timelapse of the setup and filmed the different events that were happening within the OSPS. I then edited all the footage into an hour long DVD.

One Stop Prom Shop

The One Stop Prom Shop is an event that brings local businesses together to display their services to prom goers to simplify the process of getting ready for prom. We are working on an assembly to get 1500 people to attend the event.

Our class is split into different groups to present the information. I am part of the video team. I chose this team because I have the equipment and knowledge in video. I have been named the "director". We are going to use stop motion and normal videography in the video. We are hoping it will go together smoothly.

Quality Enhancements

A few weeks back I posted a business letter I sent out to many businesses. Quality Enhancements responded to me for some design work. They are a construction and remodeling business. They want me to create a t shirt design for them. This week I will be working with them to come up with a shirt design they like. I'm sure Ill post it when I'm finished.

2012-2013 Yearbook Designs

Here are two yearbook designs I made. My goal was to be simple and cute. The school will pick one design from the IMDD class and the winners design will be used and they will receive a free yearbook.

Black Friday

Black Friday is quickly approaching. The term Black Friday comes from businesses being in the red when it comes to sales. They have these crazy sales on the Friday after Thanksgiving and it boosts there sales into the black.

I have plans to go out and get some records because Record Store Day is releasing limited vinyl on Black Friday.

Last year there was an increase in online sales and orders placed from mobile devices. I imagine these figures will continue to increase this year. Many websites are offering "cyber deals" as well as in store deals.
